Hello to all. I'm Mom to two amazing teens that just happen to have learning differences. Through our quest for understanding and support for their particular challenges, I discovered OG tutoring (amazing methodology!), eventually went back to school for this course, and now tutor other children with LD. Currently, our family is struggling with the process of gaining independence and transitioning from high school to 'real' life.....and all that entails.
It's always wonderful to connect with others who have walked the walk... and can talk the talk!

Hi del and welcome to the forum, I hope you will find your experience here useful. I am a learning disability nurse ( as well as holding down a full- time jobs as a nurse in a nursing home for the elderly) and wanted to create a site where someone with a learning disability, their family of friends can come and offer advice, support, encouragement, of a place to scream and shout if necessary. We also face a small Facebook page www.facebook.com/groups/LDForum/ if you would like to join. Please feel free to invite friend you may feel would benefit from a forum such at this one.
