A big hello to our first members. Hope you will be the first of many. My name is Cindy and I will try my best to read all the postings and make sure that none contain anything that might offend or upset other members. If I miss anything, do please let me know and I will sort things out. We want this Forum to be a safe, friendly place, where people can chat and get help and advice.

Well I suppose as an admin of the group I should really be the first one to say hello and introduce myself. My name is Rob and I am a learning disability nurse. I work in a a small young persons disabled unit offering support and encouragement to young people. I decided to set up this form because I felt that there was a need for a platform for people with disabilities, their families and friends to have some where where they can turn to ask for help, offer help or scream about something. The forum is in it's very early stages and we support from its members I hope that the forum will grow and become a useful tool for anyone who wishes to use it.
